Tepid news from the Xenaverse:
Back in May of this year, Lucy Lawless gave an interview where she said not to 'count out' a Xena movie just yet.
At June's Xena Convention in NYC, Rob Tapert (producer of Xena and Lucy's husband) said that the studio's execs were not interested in a movie at this time but that he would be meeting with them again.
Then, at ComiCon in July Sam Raimi (who co produced the show with Tapert) had this to say about the possibility of a film.
So, don't count them out just yet -- although it's been six years since the end of the show -- Xena fans are some of the most hardcore and numerous out there. And we all know what an intrepid fan base, fantastic DVD sales, and buzz can do in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre.
