Edinburgh International Festival '07

The Edinburgh International Festival '07 is in full swing. The celebration of classical music, theatre, opera and dance (and a lot of other stuff besides) runs every year from August to September and hotel rates in Auld Reeky skyrocket!

It has been running since 1947 and gets bigger every year. We would have so much fun listening to Anonymous 4 under the fireworks... 'sigh'

Edinburgh is our absolute favorite city -- so if you are one of the lucky ones who can get to the Edinburgh Festival and do, tell us about it! What shows did you catch? Who did you go to see specifically?

We would kill to be there, but we're a law biding citizen.

PS. Here is a very interesting article about the grandson of the last woman to be hanged in Britain. He went to the festival this year and unwittingly witnessed a dramatization of his grandmother's execution.

Dates: August 10 - September 2
