News - AMC And Warner Bros. Spy On Moviegoers

This article is one of those things that scares the bejeezus out of us. Warner Bros. has apparently contracted agents to use night vision goggles to spy on moviegoers who have paid to see The Invasion. It is supposedly an effort to curb piracy.

We don't buy it. Anyone with a lick of sense knows that leaked trailers and film clips serve only to whet the public's appetite.

We are so anti-Big Brother. Never give up your freedoms.

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." ~ James Madison, speech, Virginia Convention, 1788

Somehow that seems appropriate that they would be spying on people during a suspense thriller about people being replaced by aliens. The whole thing smacks of conspiracy and intrusion.
