Ang Lee's Latest To Be NC-17

Lust, Caution, Ang Lee's first film after the acclaimed Brokeback Mountain, has received an NC-17 rating from Hollywood censors.

The WWII era film, about a young woman in Japanese-occupied Shanghai who must seduce and kill a member of the opposing army, has lengthy and intensely graphic sex scenes. However, Lee and his collaborators are said to be set to accept the rating without contention.

The film debuts on September 28th. We'll see if it can override the lack of attention it will receive from many "newspapers and TV outlets [that] won't carry ads for NC-17 films."

We think of Mr. Lee as something akin to a cat...a cat who directs Oscar-winning movies. He'll always manage to land on his feet.
