The highly anticipated next step in the Halo franchise - Halo 3 is set to be released on September 24th. That's only four days away, nerdboys.

Although we've never been a Halo fan, even we have to admit, the site is pretty neat, the video kinda rocks, and hell, we even like the music.

So if you like pretending you're a - tee hee - "space marine" and fighting aliens, get in line early. This Bud's for you.

Halo 3: Live Action Short Film On MSN Video

Director Neill Blomkamp's live action short film version of Halo 3 is up and running on MSN video. The 1 1/2 minute clip is titled Combat: Part 1 so we can only assume that there will be more of these.

The film was like we imagine the game to be (we've seen it played on several occasions,) violent but not graphic, confusing and without plot. It seemed well-produced and was probably a fairly expensive undertaking. Meh. We are bored by this stuff. If you're not, enjoy!

Guild Wars: "Eye of the North" Debuts

PC MMORPG giant Guild Wars is set to release Eye of the North, the fourth purchasable installment since its inception, on August 31st.

We were a World of Warcraft devotee since we own a Mac, but this video introducing the Scandinavian-esque 'Norn' looks pretty darn fun (We love Norse legends!) Not quite as well crafted as Warcraft -- and it's a little more cutesy -- but still fun.
