Beowulf Looks Awesome

We can't wait to see Beowulf! We have a few reservations, only because we've been disappointed before, but if they pull this off 'muah!'

We totally dig the cast too! It comes out on November 16th, just in time for our birthday -- Happy Birthday to us!

Music - Scissor Sisters To Release DVD

Yay! We're stoked that one of our absolute favorite bands -- the Scissor Sisters -- has announced an upcoming DVD.

If you've been to one of their concerts or seen them in a club and have footage of it -- hurry and submit it here to see if it makes the cut.

PS. Also, we think they have a twin band in Spoon. Doesn't "I Turn My Camera On" sound very Scissory? They even have the girly legs and everything!

Questions: Facebook Apps

What are the best Facebook Apps? Why?

We're particularly fond of My Heritage and Art.

You As A Pirate!

See what you would look like as a pirate on the website for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

Simply upload your photo (front-facing, no funny business) and download the newly 3D-ized version of you, all ready for piratization. You can even speak the lines your favorite characters say in the film.We made a bunch of them. Total fun.

While you're there, check out the other downloads available for spicing up your cell or computer.

The Universe Is Missing

It's astrophysics hottest topic -- dark matter.

We can only see about 4% of the universe but due to the immense gravitational pull coming from space we know that about 96% percent of it is still out there -- and missing.

If you enjoyed Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time like we did, for a beginners grasp on the concept of dark matter, check out this brand new article from Live Science.

Man Eaten By Bears At Beer Festival

Holy cow! It's Grizzly Man all over again. At the annual beer festival at the Belgrade Zoo, in Serbia, keepers found the half-eaten body of a 23-year-old man in the bear cage.

It is suspected the man may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he entered the cage. No $%^&, Sherlock!

Now, we are seriously scared of bears.

PS. We're waiting for the day when the headline reads "Man Eaten By Beers At Bear Festival."

Anne Rice Finds Jesus

Goth queen and vampire novelist, Anne Rice, has become a born-again Christian. Her newly found religiosity takes the form of political support for Hilary Rodham-Clinton.

When we find Jesus, we're going to spearhead Bono's campaign.

Red Hill Voting Town 2008!

(Maybe "I Still Haven't Found Who I'm Voting For" would have been better. Sue us.)

The First Space Hotel

The first ever space hotel will be open (yes, in space) by 2012.

For a mere $4 million, you can enjoy a three-day stay in one of the three pod-shaped rooms, orbiting the earth once every 80 minutes, while velcroed to the wall in your very own fuzzy unitard.

Look at these pictures; you'd have to pay us $4 million for even a one-day stay in this 'boutique' hotel. Not only are we not into minimalism -- at all -- but we'd lose our lunch wondering when the hotel was going to crack and we were going to get sucked into the abyss of space. And losing your lunch in zero gravity has got to be messy.

The Dark Knight - Production Stills

In these newly-released production stills from The Dark Knight, it looks as though Heath Ledger, who plays The Joker, may be the first actor to make out with both Gyllenhaal siblings. If James Spader would kiss Jake, he could be the second, since Maggie takes up where Katie Holmes thankfully left off.

We have high hopes for this second installment in the Batman Begins franchise. The stills look both awesome and scary!
